US and Russia agree to cut nuclear arms

The article I would like to compare and contrast is the story in “The Age” about “USA and Russia agree to cut nuclear arms”. When I searched about this article on the internet there are 96,200 articles I found on the internet.

Here I am comparing the article with the news paper “The age” and the internet site “worldfocus.org”.

In the news paper, it clearly mentions the place where they met and on what occasion they met. But internet article did not show any interest on the occasion they met.

In the third paragraph of news paper it says that the result of meeting, on the web it shows the result in the second paragraph of the article. In the news paper they divided the news into 2 to 3 paragraphs. But on the web they put all the information in one paragraph.

In the news paper they put the key words in quotation marks. This shows the importance of the particular words and sentences. It clearly gave reasons why Russia is going to take part in this agreement and what encourages it to go for an agreement with USA. But it gave very little information about the previous agreements between these two countries and the persons going to take part in this agreement. But it gave bit more information about warheads and weapons.

On the web it gave hyperlinks to crucial words like agreements and persons who are participating in the agreement. If we click on the hyperlink, it goes to a page where all the information is loaded. These hyperlinks not only linked to one website or webpage. These links are connected to different web sites and web address.

The news paper writes very little about the negative things in the article and the web writes more about the disagreement points of the news.
