Similarities between India and Australia

They are so many similarities between India and Australian in different matters. Here I am differentiating between them based on different issues.

1) Weather and Geographical conditions

Geographically both are in the list of biggest countries are in the world. Australia is around 5.5 million square kilometers and India is 3.5 million square kilometers.

We can see different weather at a time in Australia. When a heat wave is going around Victoria and New South Wales, you can see floods in Queensland. You can see the very dry weather at Northern Territory. Australia is an island, naturally it has a long coastline.
(Few pictures are uploaded along with this blog)

India also has different weather conditions at different places. When the southern states are flooding, some northern states are in the grip of drought. Rajastan has very dry weather like NT in Australia. India is a big peninsula; naturally its got a big coastline.

2) People
Total population of Australia is 21.5 millions. Australia is a multicultural country. 90% of the people are European descent. As per one survey there are 172 nationalities are living Australia from different races. Several hundred aboriginal languages are in Australia.

Total population of India is 1150 millions. Among them 80% are Hindus, 12% are Muslims, 2% are Christians, 2% are Sikhs and remaining belongs to different religious groups. The national official languages are Hindi and English. There are another 14 languages recognized as official languages based on their states. People speak around 200 different languages in different parts of the country.

3) Government

Australia is a democratic country which got its freedom from United Kingdom. Government, it is Federal parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy.

India is also a democratic country which got its freedom from United Kingdom. India is the largest democratic country in the world. Government is federal Republic parliamentary. Head is of the state President and Head of the government is Prime Minister.
4) Economy

The economy of Australia is a free market economy dominated by service sector (68% of GDP). Only 4% people are in the field of agriculture. After the service sector the next most employed sector is industry, 20% of the population. The Australian dollar is the currency of the Commonwealth of Australia, including Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, and Norfolk Island, as well as the independent Pacific Island states of Kiribati, Nauru and Tuvalu. The Australian Securities Exchange is the largest stock exchange in Australia.
The economy of India is the twelfth largest in the world by market exchange rates and the fourth largest in the world by GDP, measured on purchasing power parity (PPP) basis. The country was under socialist-based policies for an entire generation from the 1950s until the 1980s. The economy was characterised by extensive regulation, protectionism, and public ownership, leading to pervasive corruption and slow growth. Since 1991, continuing economic liberalisation has moved the economy towards a market-based system. Agriculture is the dominant employment in India. Still 60% of the population depends on agriculture and 28% people are in the service sector. The biggest stock exchange is Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) located in Mumbai. The Indian rupee is the strongest currency among South Asian region.
5) Political role in the world
Australia is the biggest country in Pacific region. Naturally it plays “big brother” in this region. Australia is playing significant role in “fighting against terrorism” especially in countries like Afghanistan. Especially it is playing a major role in global warming issues.

US and Russia agree to cut nuclear arms

The article I would like to compare and contrast is the story in “The Age” about “USA and Russia agree to cut nuclear arms”. When I searched about this article on the internet there are 96,200 articles I found on the internet.

Here I am comparing the article with the news paper “The age” and the internet site “worldfocus.org”.

In the news paper, it clearly mentions the place where they met and on what occasion they met. But internet article did not show any interest on the occasion they met.

In the third paragraph of news paper it says that the result of meeting, on the web it shows the result in the second paragraph of the article. In the news paper they divided the news into 2 to 3 paragraphs. But on the web they put all the information in one paragraph.

In the news paper they put the key words in quotation marks. This shows the importance of the particular words and sentences. It clearly gave reasons why Russia is going to take part in this agreement and what encourages it to go for an agreement with USA. But it gave very little information about the previous agreements between these two countries and the persons going to take part in this agreement. But it gave bit more information about warheads and weapons.

On the web it gave hyperlinks to crucial words like agreements and persons who are participating in the agreement. If we click on the hyperlink, it goes to a page where all the information is loaded. These hyperlinks not only linked to one website or webpage. These links are connected to different web sites and web address.

The news paper writes very little about the negative things in the article and the web writes more about the disagreement points of the news.

LOVE - An Eternal Relation

What is love?

Nobody knows exactly what it is. It is the most typical word in the world. Everyone can define their own definition based on their experience or observation. May be it’s a relation between two people.

Why we need love?

We can not say exactly. May be we miss something from the people around us. That’s why need love. May. When we are looking for something which we cannot express openly.

Why we feel something special about some body?

Sometimes we like few things very much which we observed in opposite person. Maybe it’s a small thing, starts like a very small feeling which covers the rest of the things in life.

Some times small things give more happiness like walking in the rain like children.

A small thing which may be a physical feature or expression, or behaviour we like very much in a person, it covers the rest of the negative things of the same person.

How can we keep our love alive?

The most important thing is to be truthful to your partner.
Tell the things you like or you don’t like openly.
Be patient when you don’t like anything and explain why you don’t like it.

Why we fail in love?

There are so many reasons for failure in love. But the most important reason is not expressing yourself truthfully. When we are falling in love we always try to impress other one whether we like it or not. Later on it becomes a big problem. When we know about each other it creates misunderstandings and then leads to separation.

A few proverbs about love

Love is the beginning of the life.
Love is a station joy of train passes through it
Love tells you how be in life, not be in life and how live in life.
If you are not in love know that’s your problem.
Wise people never fall in love, if you want be wise be in love.
All the pretty girls fall in love with fools.
